Networking Events
colorbars hosts Networking Events in New York City every two months. The event is a platform for attendees to build relationships, share information, strengthen their confidence, and increase their own professional network.

Mentoring Program
The Mentoring Program pairs young professionals and mentors from the media, entertainment and communication industries. Both mentor & mentees have an opportunity to expand their leadership, interpersonal and professional skills through this relationship.

Panel Discussions
Industry leaders of varied backgrounds lend advice and offer unique perspectives to attendees on topics such as career development and the state of the industry.

Colorbars Classes
colorbars classes are small workshops which allow attendees to maintain and enhance their professional skills through a number of resources and activities including, but not limited to, screenwriting seminars, graphic design / animation tutorial, mock interview, and technical equipment tutorials.
 

Future Programs

Field Program
The colorbars field program is specifically geared toward junior and mid-level young professionals and provides them the opportunity to “shadow” industry leaders from the worlds of media, entertainment and communication on-site and at their places of business. Following a “day in the life” format, this interaction exposes participants to the realities of the business where high-pressure situations are the norm and tough decisions must be made.

Outreach Program
The outreach program focuses on the next generation of industry leaders. Colorbars members are invited to speak at area High Schools and Universities during career days, career fairs and special programs to share their professional experiences with youth interested in pursuing careers in media, communication, and entertainment.
